NBCU Adds Trio To Digital Distribution Team

NBC Universal has bolstered its digital team with three additions.

The programmer has appointed Dan Bethlahmy director wireless marketing in its Digital Distribution unit, Tracy Kim, manager of digital products and Emily Powers as manager of business development. Each will oversee aspects of the company's digital distribution efforts for such properties as Bravo, Chiller, CNBC, CNBC World, MSNBC, mun2, NBC Weather Plus, Oxygen, SCI FI Channel, ShopNBC, Sleuth, Telemundo, Universal HD, and USA Network.

Bethlahmy, who joins form Virgin Mobile, is charged with creating a trade and consumer marketing approach to enhance the company's position and drive the usage of NBCU's mobile content. Bethlahmy  He will be based in Englewood Cliffs, N.J., and report to Stacy Melle, vice president of marketing, NBCU Digital Distribution.

Kim is responsible for the product development and programming for NBCU's video-on-demand, pay-per-view and interactive television platforms. He comes to NBCU from Next Jump and will report to Michael Aaronson, vice president, digital products, NBCU Digital Distribution.

Powers will support the NBCU TV Networks Distribution group in deals relating to digital offerings with cable, satellite and telco companies, as well as broader corporate strategic projects. Previously an associate producer for National Geographic Channel, she will be based in Englewood Cliffs, N.J., and report to Jennifer Boudreaux, vice president, business development, NBCU Digital Distribution.
