A total of 72 of the top 100 markets are now interconnected, offering advertisers the ability to buy 80% or more of ad-insertable cable homes through a single contact, sales firm National Cable Communications said Monday.
Recent additions include expansions in Phoenix (No. 16 DMA) by Cox Media Services and Adelphia Communications Corp. having consolidated No. 96 Johnstown-Altoona, Pa.
MSO-owned NCC said at least 90 of the top 100 markets should be interconnected by the end of next year. Of all 210 U.S. markets, 110 are now interconnected, while 152 can now deliver 50% or more of their ad-insertable cable homes.
