National Cable Communications, the largest spot-cable ad-sales rep firm,
announced Tuesday that its use of Centra Software Inc.'s Web-based
order-transaction system enabled it to accelerate its rollout last August.
Use of Lexington, Mass.-based Centra, which NCC director of training and
development Bruce Raisner dubbed 'the market leader,' allowed NCC to 'deliver
[electronic] training in half the time, with less than half the trainers, [and]
at a fraction of the cost.'
Now NCC, its cable affiliates and advertising agencies using the system can
share up-to-the-minute information in navigating the spot-cable advertising
planning and buying process, he said.
