NCTA Attendance Drops Slightly

Publish date:

Chicago -- The National Cable & Telecommunications Association said 16,700 people
attended this week's National Show here, down from 17,500 at the 2002
convention in New Orleans.

The trade group said there were 195 exhibitors, compared with 206 at last
year's convention.

The actual number of exhibitors was fewer than 195, since the NCTA counts
multiple digital networks, such as those at the Discovery Communications Inc.
booth, as individual exhibitors.
