NCTA Board Re-Elects Leaders


Time Warner Cable chairman and CEO Glenn Britt was re-elected for a one-year term as chairman of the board of directors of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association last Wednesday at a meeting at the National Show here.

Comcast Corp. CEO Brian Roberts will serve for another year as vice chairman, as will Cablevision Systems Cable & Communications president Tom Rutledge as secretary and A&E Television Networks CEO Nickolas Davatzes as treasurer.

Immediate past chairman Michael S. Willner, the CEO of Insight Communications, and NCTA president Robert Sachs also were re-appointed to the NCTA executive committee, as were: Decker Anstrom, the Landmark Communications president; Matthew Blank, the chairman and CEO of Showtime Networks; Rocco Commisso, the chairman and CEO of Mediacom Communications Corp.; Robert Miron, the chairman and CEO of Advance/Newhouse Communications; James O. Robbins, the CEO of Cox Communications Inc.; William Schleyer, the chairman and CEO of Adelphia Communications; and Carl Vogel, the CEO of Charter Communications Inc.

Associate director Frank Drendel, the chairman and CEO of CommScope Inc., was re-elected to a two-year term.
