The National Cable & Telecommunications Association promoted Nilda Cid
Gumbs to director of its Office of Cable Signal Theft.
Gumbs joined the trade group in 1994 and has served in several roles in the
OCST. She has been its acting director since February 2002.
In her new position, Gumbs will lead the industry's efforts to counter
cable-signal theft. She will also serve as cable's liaison to the Coalition
Opposing Signal Theft Committee (COST).
"Nilda's expertise and experience will serve the industry well as we
implement new strategies to reduce cable theft," NCTA senior vice president of
association affairs Jadz Janucik said in a release.
