The National Cable & Telecommunications Association said Tuesday that it has chosen 24 broadband experts to write the “2006 NCTA Technical Papers” and to take part in the technical sessions at the National Show April 9-11 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

The trade group said the authors will present their papers as part of five technical sessions: “Advanced Network Architecture,” “National Scale Networking,” “Individual Consumption,” “Switched Digital Video Networks” and “Next-Generation Network Architecture.” Each of the 24 authors will present 15- to 20-minute summaries of their work.

“The rapid advances in broadband technology make both the technical program and the Technical Papers a must for the cable-engineering community,” NCTA senior vice president of science and technology William Check said in a prepared statement. “The papers to be presented this year represent ideas that will help support the cable industry for years to come.”
