NCTA Taps AT&T's Stoddard

Cable veteran Rob Stoddard is leaving AT&T Broadband to join the National
Cable & Telecommunications Association as senior vice president of
communications and public affairs, officials said Thursday.

Stoddard, currently senior vice president of public relations at AT&T
Broadband, will assume his new post Jan. 2.

In his newly created position, Stoddard will report to NCTA president and CEO
Robert Sachs. Both Stoddard and Sachs are veterans of Continental Cablevision
Inc.

Two existing NCTA departments -- communications and public affairs -- will be
combined under Stoddard's oversight. As a result, vice president of
communications David Beckwith and vice president of public affairs Jim Ewalt
will both report directly to Stoddard.

'Rob Stoddard is a highly talented public-affairs professional,' Sachs said
in a prepared statement. 'Having worked together earlier in our careers, I am
delighted to have the opportunity to work with Rob again.'
