The National Cable Television Cooperative has signed a marketing agreement
with CBC Marketing Group.

Monroe, La.-based CBC will provide marketing programs and a unique Web site
to facilitate NCTC members' ordering and customization of materials.

Lenexa, Kan.-based NCTC vice president of member services Dan Mulvenon said
in a prepared statement, 'The competitive market has brought a greater awareness
and necessity to be more aggressive in marketing and customer relations.'

Although cable networks 'do a great job of providing marketing materials that
sell their networks,' he added, 'we want to provide materials that sell cable
and particularly local service and support.'

Many of the CBC materials feature a local-cable logo emphasizing 'Local
Service. Local Support,' which was introduced at the NCTC's convention earlier
this year.

Members must register to use the CBC Web site.
