The National Cable Television Institute has developed two new courses to
train cable employees in deploying and supporting high-speed-data services.
The two courses, 'High-Speed-Data Customer Service' and 'Advanced
High-Speed-Data Customer Service,' will assist tier-one, tier-two and tier-three
technical-service and customer-service representatives, the NCTI said.
The first course will cover equipment, operations and troubleshooting, as
well as examinations of cable modems, computer hardware, computer software and
The second course goes in-depth on PC functions, such as boot process,
software, system board, memory management, disk drives, IO devices, return-path
fundamentals and data communications.
