NDS, a provider of technology for pay TV services, announced Tuesday that its Synamedia Metro middleware solution for Internet-protocol-TV services has been integrated with Amino Communications' AmiNET130 IPTV set-top boxes.
Through the collaboration, Synamedia Metro features -- including NDS' VideoGuard digital rights management, electronic program guides, interactive-TV applications, video-on-demand and interactive games -- will run on the Amino set-tops.
The companies said the integration "builds upon several customer deployments" worldwide where NDS technology has been deployed with Amino IPTV set-tops.
