Net-Video-Ad Revenue to Triple by 2007

Internet-video advertising will grow from $225 million this year to $640 million by 2007, according to a new report from eMarketer Inc.

The company estimated that video-ad revenue will ultimately reach $1.5 billion by the end of the decade.

“Television and the Internet are developing new ways to complement each other,” eMarketer senior analyst David Hallerman said in a prepared statement.

Internet video can blend several marketing elements, he added, including paid search, branded entertainment, viral marketing, consumer-generated media, behavioral targeting, Web-site brand marketing and online gaming.
