Net2Phone Inc. said Wednesday that it has lined up some cable-industry expertise.
The voice-over-Internet-protocol provider has formed a Cable Advisory Board made up of cable-industry insiders and experts to help advise it on its cable-telephony strategy and product-development plans.
“We have assembled a truly impressive group of cable innovators that can help Net2Phone to move even further on delivering on its strategy to empower cable operators with voice solutions,” Liberty Media Corp. chief technology officer and Cable Advisory Board chairman Tony Werner said in a prepared statement.
“As more cable operators look to outsource their cable-telephony deployments, Net2Phone will continue to be strongly positioned to meet their needs, having developed a suite of solutions and tools that can address every technical and logistical step in the deployment process,” Werner added.
Joining Werner on the board are: Mark Carleton, senior vice president, Liberty; Steve Craddock, senior VP of new-media development, Comcast Corp.; Wayne Davis, executive VP and CTO, Charter Communications Inc.; Chuck Dougherty, VP and general manager, network-infrastructure solutions, Motorola Broadband Communications Sector; Mark Dzuban, vice chairman, Cedar Point Communications; Marwan Fawaz, CTO, Adelphia Communications Corp.; Nick Hamilton-Piercy, senior technology advisor, Rogers Cable Inc.; Andy Paff, CEO, Cedar Point; and Dan Pike, CTO, General Communication Inc.
