Net2Phone Inc. announced that it will provide voice services for Bresnan Communications to implement voice-over-Internet-protocol service to its 300,000-subscriber base.
Bresnan will use Net2Phone's managed telephony solution, which will be integrated with the MSO's back-office billing and provisioning systems.
"Throughout our months of discussions, Net2Phone has proven to be a company with extensive VoIP experience, knowledge of the cable world and a proven end-to-end management telephony solution," Bresnan CEO Bill Bresnan said in a prepared statement.
He added that Net2Phone provided Bresnan with the advantage of deploying voice services quickly, "with minimal capital and operating expenses."
The service will be branded by Bresnan, with Net2Phone serving as systems integrator, taking on full responsibility for operating the service, Net2Phone said.
