Netflix Renews Drama Series ‘Atypical'

Netflix has greenlit a second season of its autism-themed series Atypical.

The series, created, written and executive produced by Robia Rashid (How I Met Your Mother, Will & Grace), stars Keir Gilchrist as an 18-year-old on the autistic spectrum searching for love and independence.

The eight-episode freshman season of Atypical, produced by Sony Pictures Television, debuted on Netflix in August. Along with Rashid, Seth Gordon (BaywatchThe Goldbergs) and Mary Rohlich serve as executive producers for Atypical. Jennifer Jason Leigh serves as a producer for the series, according to Netflix.
