New Artists Join 'Nickelodeon HALO Awards'

Hip Hop group The Roots and pop group Fifth Harmony are set to join the concert lineup for the Nickelodeon HALO Awards, premiering Nov. 30 at 7 p.m., the network announced today.

They will be joining Jessie J, Nick Jonas, Meghan Trainor, Echosmith and The Vamps, along withspecial appearances by Zendaya, Carlos PenaVega and Stars from Instant Mom, The Thundermans and The Haunted Hathaways.

The special honors five kids who are "Helping and Leading Others” (HALO) in their communities. Each will be awarded a grant, scholarship funds and the chance to connect with celebrities who share their same passion.

In its sixth year, the awards ceremony is sponsored by Green Giant™, Reese’s Puffs Cereal and Dave & Buster's.

Produced by Superfly in connection with Nickelodeon Productions, Nick Cannon, Alex Coletti, Jay Schmalholz and Shelly Sumpter Gillyard serve as executive producers. 

Creator Nick Cannon will host the event, which will air across Nick networks and be available to stream live on Nick.com, the Nick App and Nick Radio. 

This year, the honorees include 15-year-old Lulu Cerone of Los Angeles, California; 18-year-old Yash Gupta of Irvine, California; Cassandra Lin, 16, of Westerly, R.I.; Nicholas Lowinger, 16, Cranston, R.I.; and Alanna Wall, 14, Dayton, Ohio.
