New CMTS Is in the Casa

Casa Systems will debut its Casa C2200 cable-modem-termination system at the International Broadcasting Convention 2006 show in Amsterdam, Netherlands, this week.

The Andover, Mass.-based vendor said the Casa C2200 is capable of supporting channel bonding of up to 16 downstream channels and up to eight upstream channels, giving cable operators more bandwidth flexibility with independent CMTS downstream and upstream modules.

Casa will also debut its C2150 Downstream Digital Cable Termination System, a multipurpose edge-QAM platform that allows cable operators to deliver Internet-protocol-TV and MPEG-video services simultaneously.
