NFL Network Garners 6.6 Million Viewers With Steelers-Browns

NFL Network continued its Thursday Night Football roll with its coverage of the Pittsburgh Steelers' 14-3 win over the Cleveland Browns.
The Dec. 8 telecast averaged 6.6 million viewers (excluding those who watched the contest on over-the-stations in the participants' home DMAs), according to Nielsen data. That marked a 22% increase over the 5.4 million who watched NFL Network's fifth game of its 2010 schedule, Indianapolis and Tennessee. Moreover, the pro football league's in-house network is now five-for-five in outpacing its deliveries from the corresponding telecasts last season.
Thus far, TNF has averaged 7 million viewers, up 23% from 5.7 million for the same span last year.
Next week, NFL Network has two games: the Atlanta Falcons hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Dec. 15 at 8 p.m. (ET) and the Dallas Cowboys visiting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Saturday Dec. 17.
