The National Football League plays once per week, so it’s only natural that NFL Network signs distribution deals once per week.
The network announced deal No. 52 in its 52 weeks of being on-air, this one with Knology Inc.
NFL Network’s first anniversary is Nov. 4.
The network is now available in more than 22 million households, which it said is a cable-industry record for a one-year-old service.
“We listen to the distributors and work to provide them with the solutions they need to grow their businesses,” NFL Network senior vice president of distribution Adam Shaw said in a prepared statement. “In return, the operators have embraced the product and worked to create great awareness.”
