NFL Network will put microphones on 12 players and coaches during Sunday’s Baltimore Ravens-New York Jets game.
Eight players, both head coaches and two assistants will be wired.
The results will air in a one-hour-special featuring audio captured on the field, on the sidelines and in the locker room, the network said.
Special Edition Game of the Week: Sounds of the Game will air on the National Football League’s cable service Thursday, Nov. 18 at 9 p.m. (EST).
“We had tremendous success with this project during the preseason, but now we want to take our viewers inside a regular-season game, when the stakes are high and the playoffs are on the line,” NFL Films president Steve Sabol said in a prepared statement.
“We will use 12 cameras to shoot the game, and we believe this program will forever change the way our fans view pro football,” he added.
