The National Football League will make its blacked-out games available in the affected home team markets at no cost at NFL.com, though on a delayed basis.

In-market games will be available for streaming starting at midnight the day of the game, and will be accessible for 72 hours, except when ESPN airs Monday Night Football.

In a struggling economy, there are fears --and signs- -that some home games will not be sold out, which means they will be blacked out in their home markets.

"We understand that the economy is limiting some families and corporations from buying as many game tickets as they had previously," said NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in announcing the move. "These free re-broadcasts on NFL.com will allow our fans that can't get to a blacked-out game an opportunity to see the entire game."
