The National Football League will make the Minnesota Vikings/New York Giants game available nationally on NFL.com beginning at midnight, or whenever ESPN's Monday Night Football match-up between Houston Texans/Baltimore Ravens contest ends, if it extends beyond that time.
The NFL had to reschedule the game opposite the Monday Night Football telecast after the Metrodome Stadium roof collapsed under heavy snows.
Fox affiliates will carry the Giants/Vikings game live in those two markets (KMSP Minneapolis, KEYC Mankato and KXLT Rochester, all Minnesota, and on WNYW New York), but ESPN has the national window on Monday nights (though DirecTV viewers will also get to see it live since it is being treated as a delayed Sunday Ticket-eligible game).
There was strong interest in the Giants/Minnesota contest, which was scheduled to be the Sunday afternoon national telecast on Fox before the roof leak and eventual collapse. But one of the storylines will not play out: Brett Farve, who was injured last week, is not playing, ending his record consecutive game started streak at 297.
