Nickelodeon brought toys based on three of its series to Toy Fair 2006 in New York.
The network collaborated with toy manufacturers on products based on The Backyardigans and Go, Diego, Go! for preschoolers and on Avatar, The Last Airbender for kids 6-11.
Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products manages the third-largest licensing business in the world, with $5 billion in retail sales in 2005 from such properties as Nick’s SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer.
In addition to Nick, the department handles merchandising for Nick Jr., Paramount Pictures, Comedy Central, MTV Networks International and Spike TV.
