Nick Renews ‘Dora And Friends: Into The City!’

Dora and Friends: Into the City! has been renewed for a 20-episode second season, featuring a fresh curriculum on community service and emotional skills, as announced by Nickelodeon today.

With 13 million total viewers since its August debut, Dora and Friends has sprung into the the top five preschool programs on television and is the number-one show among ages 2-5 in its timeslot.

“Dora and her new friends have been met with huge enthusiasm from preschoolers who are embracing their camaraderie and community spirit, and we look forward to bringing kids along on even more adventures in season two,” said Executive Vice President, Nickelodeon Preschool, Teri Weiss in a release.

The popular series has also drawn attention to the Dora and FriendsApp, which is the number-one Kids and Education app, as well as the number-two overall paid app on iPads.

A brand-new Dora and Friends float, “Aventuras Fantasticas,” is set to debut in the 88th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the ninth year. This year, the float will focus on incorporating highlights from the upcoming series, displaying some of the new adventures to come.
