Tania, or rather the person playing her on Nickelodeon, is graduating
into a new role this fall on ABC.
Christina Vidal, who portrayed the title role of Nick's series about a
performing-arts high-school student, will co-star on 10-8, Aaron
Spelling's new police-drama hour.
Her character is portrayed by ABC as "tough, smart."
It's a like-sister, like-sister situation, since sibling Lisa already has a
cop-on-the-streets role on Lifetime's The Division.
For Nickelodeon, Vidal's situation means the end of original production on
Tania after three seasons. The role will not be recast, according to a
channel spokesperson, and reruns will continue for the foreseeable future. The
last first-run episodes were taped this past spring.
