Nickelodeon will bring several of its series stars together in a new original movie set to debut in 2013, the network announced Tuesday.
Nick’s original comedy movie, Swindle, will star Jennette McCurdy (iCarly), Noah Crawford (How to Rock, You Gotta See This), Noah Munck (iCarly), Ariana Grande (Victorious), Chris O'Neal (How to Rock, You Gotta See This) and Ciara Bravo (Big Time Rush) and is based on a popular children’s book by Gordon Korman, said network officials. Production on the movie will begin this month.
“Swindle unites a cavalcade of Nick stars in an Ocean’s Eleven-type tale about kid empowerment and justice,” said Marjorie Cohn, President, Content Development, Nickelodeon Group in a statement. “We are excited to give our audience a movie featuring beloved stars from across the Nickelodeon universe in this wish-fulfilling adventure full of big laughs.”
