Beverly Hills, Calif. -- Nickelodeon will integrate viewer-generated content into iCarly,a Web show within a show that debuts in September.
Star Miranda Cosgrove (Drake & Josh) is Carly, who produces a Webcast each week. The footage created by viewers will be incorporated into the scripted show each week.
Producer Dan Schneider said at the Television Critics Association tour here, "This is the future of TV. More of our audience is watching TV on iPods and the computer. Nick encourages me to embrace it."
Nick will also roll out an Internet-only series, Nick Cannon Star Camps, produced by the star.
And Aug. 31, the network will debut an animated series spun off from theatrical feature Back at the Barnyard.
