Nickelodeon News Special Follows Plight Of Syrian Children

Nickelodeon will profile child refugees from Syria in a new March special, the network announced Tuesday.

The special, Nick News with Linda Ellerbee: Fleeing Syria: Children of War, will debut  March 11 and will feature kids who are among the millions that have fled Syria because of ongoing conflict to find safety at Jordan’s Camp Zaatari, said network officials.

“We at Nick News remain awed by the resilience of children who often suffer the worst in the human tide of the world’s refugees,” says Ellerbee in a statement.  “And they still find ways to get by, ways to find dignity, ways to grow, and ways to hang onto hope for a better tomorrow.”
