Nielsen Media Research has acquired BBC De Media en Reclame Bank B.V., an advertising-intelligence company in the Netherlands, officials said Tuesday. Financial details weren’t disclosed.
BBC is the market leader for ad-expenditure data in the Netherlands, offering the most comprehensive and detailed intelligence covering most of the Dutch advertising market.
It monitors all types of media -- including newspapers, magazines, television, radio, the Internet, direct mail and film -- across all business sectors, with a database containing both expenditure and creative information.
“The addition of BBC further strengthens our ability to serve clients worldwide,” Nielsen Media Research International chairman and CEO Robert McCann said in a prepared statement.
BBC will stay based in Amsterdam, but it will be rebranded Nielsen Media Research and be managed by its current director and CEO, Ben van der Werf.
