Nielsen Media Research announced Tuesday that its "Nielsen Monitor-Plus"
monitoring service has expanded its list of media by five cable networks.
Nielsen Monitor-Plus thus will collect ad-spending data from 45 cable
networks, effective this month, according to the service's senior vice president
and managing director, Jeff King.
The latest additions are Lifetime Movie Network, National Geographic Channel,
SoapNet, Speed Channel and Toon Disney.
In addition, the service is adding nine national magazines to its roster for
a total of 222.
