Nortel Networks Documents Subpoenaed

A Federal Grand Jury has subpoenaed Nortel Networks Corp. for several documents, the company said Friday.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division, is seeking documents including financial statements and corporate, personnel and accounting records prepared from Jan. 1, 2000, until now.

In late April, Nortel fired CEO Frank Dunn, chief financial officer Douglas Beatty and controller Michael Gollogly and said it would delay its first-quarter earnings report, review the past three years’ financial results and restate its 2003 earnings, cutting profit for the year in half.
