Jerry Seinfeld used to boast that his hit sitcom was about nothing. Now, Fine Living has taken a page from his book.
In honor of Labor Day, the fledgling Scripps Networks' service, pre-empted regularly scheduled programming to air "A Day of Nothing": footage of a lounge chair and an umbrella from some of Hawaii's beaches.
Fine Living's 9-to-5 wallpaper was to feature footage from Ala Moana and Hanauma Bay beaches, as well as poolside coverage from Halekulani beach. Punctuating the video were such tips as: "Wear a pareo. While vacuuming."
Fine Living president Ken Solomon likened the display to "the popular broadcast of Christmas Yule logs during the holidays."
