‘Nurse Jackie' Shooting Again

Production is under way on season two of Showtime's Nurse
Jackie
in New York City.

The series, starring Edie Falco as a skilled nurse coping
with a crumbling healthcare system and her own addiction to painkillers, ran
this summer on the premium channel. Days after the dark comedy
debuted in June, Showtime ordered a second season from producer Lionsgate.

This week, Kaufman Astoria Studios in Queens, N.Y.,
said the show was back in production, having expanded to 24,000 square feet
with the addition of Stage H to go along with Stage G. Edie Falco, Eve Best,
Peter Facinelli and other cast members have been spotted around the studios. The
show  was scheduled for a location shoot on East 24th Street in Manhattan on Friday (Sept.
25), according to a street notice (pictured).

Nurse Jackiedebuted too late in the year to be eligible for
the Primetime Emmy awards given out this past Sunday, but Falco is already considereda frontrunner for outstanding lead actress in a comedy, a category won thistime by Toni Collette of Showtime's United States of Tara.
