NY1 News Teams With Brokers On Listings Site

Time Warner Cable's NY1 News channel has partnered with a local brokers' group on a New York City real-estate listings site.

The partnership with the Real Estate Board of New York rebrands the four-year-old site ResidentialNYC.com as NY1Residential.com. The site's listings will be enhanced with NY1's real-estate reports.

"NY1Residential.com makes finding a New York City home effortless," Steven Spinola, president of the Real Estate Board of New York, which owns ResidentialNYC.com, said in a release. "With this site, the process is easier and more transparent. Consumers have come to rely on ResidentialNYC.com as the place where they can find the most reliable listings and market information."

"The collaboration between NY1 and REBNY was a natural choice for us since real estate is an important part of New York's character," Bernie Han, VP of News for NY1 News, said in the release.

New to the site are "walk scores" on a property's detail page. Users can check the scores to see how far the walking distance is to restaurants, grocery stores, retailers, coffee shops, schools, parks, and libraries.

Also new is the "New to Market" scroller, which allows visitors to quickly view the newest listings added without having to search through every listing. Recent searches may also be saved for later reference.

The site is now powered by LPS Real Estate Group Inc., a leading provider of integrated technology and services to the real estate and mortgage industries.
