O'Brien to Leave Cable Center

Jim O'Brien, president and CEO of the Denver-based Cable Center, plans to
step down in the first quarter of 2003 to spend more time with his family.

He will continue to serve in his current position until a replacement is
named.

O'Brien joined the center in 2000 when it was still just an architect's
dream. He oversaw the $15.5 million construction of the center and launched
several initiatives, including the C-SPAN Distance Learning Program and initial
planning on customer-service initiatives with AT&T (now Comcast) Digital
Media Center, the National Cable & Telecommunications Association and Cox
Communications Inc.

He also oversaw the center's first major industry event, the 2002 Hall of
Fame Induction Ceremony, which drew a crowd of 800 in October.

"The board of directors could not be more pleased with the progress the
center has made in the development of outstanding educational, training and
research programs during Jim's tenure as president," said Bill Bresnan, chairman
of The Cable Center's board, in a prepared statement.
