Oceanic Adds Games Channel

Oceanic Time Warner Cable in Hawaii has launched a play-by-remote games channel offering free plays of Tetris, Texas Hold ’Em Poker and solitaire, among others, the Star Bulletin newspaper reported.

TAG TV launched on local channel 433 with free games on offer through March 31, and a 25-cents daily price tag after that, the newspaper reported. More than 20 titles are involved, also including Bejeweled, Diner Dash and backgammon.

Time Warner’s Oceanic system often has been a test bed for new products and services, including HSN’s shop by remote service, a GoldPocket application that let viewers interact with Who Wants To Be a Millionaire and Navic Networks applications that let subscribers order pizza via remote.
