Outdoor Life Network will come out of the chute with exclusive coverage of the 2003-2004 FIS (International Ski Federation) World Cup Skiing Championships beginning later this month.
The first two events take place in Lake Louise, Alberta, with the men’s downhill Nov. 29 and the women’s downhill Dec.6
The series -- encompassing 16 men's and women's events in Canada, France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway and Slovenia -- will air via same-day taped coverage on Saturdays through March 14 at 7 p.m.
Featuring the on-screen trio of Steve Perino, Chad Fleisher and Pam Fletcher, OLN's coverage will include a split/match screen allowing viewers to see two skiers moving through the same positions on the course in order to determine not only how the competitors are faring against the clock, but against each other.
OLN said this is the first time the production technique will be used outside of Olympic Games telecasts.
