Ong, Clark, Britt Will Raise 'Voices'


Multichannel News continues to expand the “Voices” section on its Web site, lining up several top executives to weigh in on industry issues on the home page of

Debuting the week of Dec. 4 will be the technologist John Clark, president and CEO of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers.

Clark will be followed the week of Dec. 11 by programmer Laureen Ong, the president of National Geographic Channel.

And after the turn of the year, Glenn Britt, chief executive of Time Warner Cable, the nation's second-largest multisystem operator, will be found in's growing forum of ideas and feedback.

The “Voices” section, which debuted last month on, allows Web surfers to interact with both industry executives and Multichannel News editors through a “reader comments” talkback feature on the Web site.

Already contributing their Voices are: Oxygen Media CEO Geraldine Laybourne, National Cable & Telecommunications Association CEO Kyle McSlarrow, Crown Media Holdings CEO Henry Schleiff, The Carmel Group founder Jimmy Schaeffler, Daventry Group principal Dwayne Goldsmith and Full Channel Cable TV Inc. director of new media Levi Maiaa.
