OpenTV Corp. said Monday that its Wink platform of interactive-television services is now available in more than 1 million Charter Communications Inc. digital-cable households.

Wink had been available to some 870,000 Charter customers prior to its recent launches in the MSO’s systems in St. Louis; Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C.; and Clarksville, Tenn., which pushed it past the 1 million mark.

OpenTV said 20 of the 23 Charter systems that have launched OpenTV are using Scientific-Atlanta Inc. set-tops, while the other three are using Motorola Broadband Communications Sector "DCT-2000" boxes.
