OpenTV Corp. said Monday that it has sold its online-education business.
The company sold its eSchool Online assets -- which it acquired when it took over ACTV Inc. -- to Harcourt Education’s Classroom Connect Inc. unit. Terms were not disclosed.
"The eSchool Online sale continues our ongoing efforts to focus on our core business," OpenTV CEO James Ackerman said in a release. "This is another positive step for improving our overall business, and it helps us to reduce the burn rate at ACTV, as we said we would do when we acquired the business."
