OpenTV Signs with Playboy, Comcast Spotlight


OpenTV Inc. has signed software-application agreements with both Playboy TV and Comcast Spotlight.

The multiyear Playboy deal covers the development, integration and launching of digital-interactive-software applications across Playboy's TV-product lineup.

The deal with Comcast Corp.’s ad-sales unit involves OpenTV's “AdVision” product, which is currently deployed in Dallas; Boston; Providence, R.I.; Hartford, Conn.; and Springfield, Mass.

The software monitors a system's available advertising inventory; facilitates traffic, scheduling and billing; and improves efficiency for spot placement and revenue management.
