As part of a marketing campaign to help the public deal with post-Sept. 11
stress, Wisdom Television will offer itself free-of-charge to cable operators
until the end of the year, officials said Tuesday.
Under the 'A Time for Renewal' initiative, Wisdom is creating special
programming to provide support to people and communities in an attempt to
alleviate their stress and anxiety following the terrorist attacks.
'Cable and satellite providers are committed to delivering programming that
will make a positive impact in their communities and help their viewers cope,'
Wisdom president Cynthia Sheets said in a prepared statement. 'Wisdom Television

Wisdom will provide marketing and promotional support to operators that
decide to air the network so that they can alert viewers about the
Distributors that take part in A Time for Renewal will not have obligations
to carry Wisdom long-term. But if they do decide to extend carriage beyond Dec.
31, they will be eligible for charter affiliation deals, which include
license-fee abatement and other incentives.
