Other Unions Join WGA in Hollywood ‘Solidarity’ March

Striking motion picture and television writers will be joined by members of other labor unions for a march through the heart of Hollywood today.

Though talks are scheduled to resume Nov. 26 between the Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, the writers union has emphasized that it is still on strike.

The Nov. 20 “solidarity” march down Hollywood Blvd. will be joined by the United Healthcare Workers-West, the Teamsters and members of the Screen Actors Guild, as well as Los Angeles elected officials.

Actress Sandra Oh of Grey's Anatomy is scheduled to speak at a post-march rally and Alicia Keys will perform for the strikers.
