Outdoor Channel has renewed its contract with Comcast Media Center’s HITS Quantum service.
Officials said Outdoor Channel, which recently re-launched its HD offering via simulcasting, is currently distributed to over 7 million households via HITS.
All told, HITS delivers more than 280 digital video and audio television programming services in high- and standard-definition to over 400 cable operate affiliates.
“HITS is an ideal partner for Outdoor Channel by providing reliable and outstanding service to its customers,” said Outdoor senior vice president, affiliate sales and marketing Randy Brown in a statement. “Now, HITS affiliates will continue to have access to the best outdoor programming as well as the quality and clarity of Outdoor Channel HD.”
