Outdoor Channel HD Debuts Across Comcast Systems in Utah


Outdoor Channel continues its high-definition expansion buzz with Comcast, launching on a number of the top distributor's systems in Utah.
The proponent of fishing, hunting, shooting and off-road motorsports on Aug. 1 rolled out to Comcast Xfinity subscribers in Salt Lake City, Provo, Sandy, Ogden, Logan, Park City, Utah markets, as well as other regions throughout the Beehive State.
Outdoor Channel HD now can be found on Channel 756 for subscribers of Xfinity's Digital Preferred Tier package. Xfinity subscribers can also catch Outdoor Channel in standard definition on channel 406 on the same tier.
Following other recent launches in Comcast markets, Outdoor Channel HD sub count is now approaching the 14 million mark, according to network officials.

"Through Outdoor Channel's wide range of riveting shows, Xfinity subscribers can take vivid adventures with professional anglers, head deep into the thick of the woods with sharpshooters, go off-road with the best trackers, and everywhere in between."

Outdoor Channel HD's debut before Xfinity TV customers in Utah follows the network's recent launches on Comcast systems across New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Outdoor Channel rolled out its high-definition channel in Charlottesville, Danville and Martinsville areas of Virginia; in Chester and Delaware Counties in Pennsylvania; and Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex and Somerset Counties in the Garden State. Outdoor Channel is also available in standard definition to Xfinity TV customers in these areas.
The HD advances along the eastern seaboard and now in Utah have added some 1 million Comcast subscribers for Outdoor Channel.
Xfinity TV watchers can now check out Outdoor Channel HD's third-quarter programming schedule, which includes seven new shows and more than 70 returning series. This summer, tune channel watchers can see such celebrities as Joe Mantegna, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean and Shawn Michaels, along with the network's all-stars and professional sporting organizations, like NASCAR and the Professional Bull Riders.
