Outdoor Channel Promotes EVP Pair

Outdoor Channel has elevated two key executives to the executive vice president level.
Randy Brown, who had been serving as senior vice president, is now executive vice president of affiliate sales and marketing at the network, while Greg Harrigan has been promoted to executive vice president of advertising sales, from the senior vice president level.
Brown, who joined Outdoor Channel in September 2007, has been instrumental in driving the network's subscriber growth to some 36 million homes, including 5 million additions in 2009. Further, Outdoor Channel has added 235 new systems carrying its channel in HD last year, increasing its HD presence by 2.5 million homes to in excess of 4 million.
"Randy is an invaluable member of our executive team and has made substantial contributions to our ongoing success," said Outdoor Channel COO Tom Hornish in a statement. "His outstanding leadership and sales expertise has earned him this well deserved promotion, and we certainly expect his accomplishments in the distribution arena to continue."
Since joining Outdoor Channel in 2002, Harrigan has been a key player in generating ad sales success for service. In his new role, the industry veteran will oversee the company's national advertising sales activities and operations, directing sales strategy, developing new account acquisitions and creating category growth programs.
"Greg is a seasoned leader who understands the strategic value of Outdoor Channel for our advertisers," said Outdoor Channel president and CEO Roger Werner. "We are pleased to announce this well deserved promotion within our advertising sales division, and we expect that Greg's efforts will continue to produce successful advertising experiences for our marketing partners."
