Outdoor Channel is ramping up the programming heat with a third-quarter lineup that includes a dozen new shows and 76 returning series,
Outdoor Channel, which was purchased by Stan Kroenke’s Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, LLC in May, is putting the spotlight on Jason Carter and the Under Armour team as they pursue some of the largest big-game trophies in western North America on Under Armour Presents Ridge Reaper.
Joining Ridge Reaper (11 p.m.) on Monday nights are Primal Instinct (10:30 p.m.), chronicling the crew and its passion for whitetail deers, and Mathews Adventure Bowhunter (11:30 p.m.) in which Tom Miranda travels the continent in search of the Super Slam of North American Big Game.
“Our summer lineup brings a new level of engagement to the world of hunting, while maintaining the core values of Outdoor Channel with the quality and excitement that our viewers have come to expect,” said Jeff Wayne, executive vice president of programming, Outdoor Channel, in a statement. “These fascinating personalities and adventures will keep viewers on the edge of their seats, and right in the center of the action of every hunt.”
The following are Outdoor Channel’s description of its other nine new original series:
- Hank Parker's Flesh & Blood [Tuesdays 7:30 p.m.]
The family hunting show features Hank Parker, two-time Bassmaster Classic Champion, and his two sons, Hank Parker Jr. and Billy "Catfish" Parker, who both started their careers as NASCAR drivers. Watch as they hunt big game, share a few laughs and give back to community.
- Swarovski Optik Quests [Wednesdays 6 p.m. ET]
Host Dean Capuano travels the globe in search of trophies that are on every hunter’s bucket list, whether it be an Alaskan Grizzly bear, Argentinean Red Stag or an Austrian Chamois. Follow in each of these thrilling adventures where the hunter’s equipment and determination is put to the test in the planet's most extreme environments with the most challenging animals.
- Trip Gone Bad [Fridays 8 p.m. ET]
This series shares stories of survival as told by the outdoorsmen who lived to tell the tales. Featuring vivid, action-packed re-enactments, this series plunges viewers firsthand into the life and death struggles that each outdoorsman encountered and the techniques used to come out alive.
- Winchester Legends [Fridays 8:30 p.m.]
Spanning the globe, hosts Bob Foulkrod, Steve Farris, Melissa Bachman and Allen Treadwell each bring their unique skills to the challenges of hunting. Drawing from the spirit of hunting's storied history, with a focus on passing down knowledge from one generation to the next, the series is a showcase for the lifestyle of this great tradition and sport of hunting.
- Razor Dobbs Alive [Fridays 9:30 p.m.]
Big-game hunter Razor Dobbs hunts tirelessly through bush veldt thorn and desert sand for the ultimate connection with Mother Earth. Each episode is its own story about Dobbs, a cast of crazy characters and the situations they find themselves in while hunting big game.
- Winchester Legends [Fridays 10:30 p.m.]
- This show brings together seasoned pros Bob Foulkrod, Ron Spomer, Steve Stoltz, Allen Treadwell and Melissa Bachmann as they share their experiences from decades of pursuit of their passion – the American deer. Each week, a different host journeys to a new location and shares their personal perspective and strategies on how to be the best deer hunter.
- Ultimate Buck Zone [Fridays at 11:30 p.m.]
An in-depth look into the rarely seen world of the American deer, the series spans coast-to-coast action from opening day until the close of the season. Deer hunting legend, author and host Mark Kayser, shares a wealth of closely held, and little known, deer hunting secrets.
- The Bucks of Tecomate [Saturdays 10:30 a.m.]
Hosted by renowned whitetail author, hunter and manager David Morris, food plot pioneer Gary Schwarz and the Tecomate Team, the show takes viewers across North America in pursuit of world-class whitetails. Along the way, Tecomate’s big buck professionals share cutting-edge management and hunting strategies for giant whitetails.
- Ram Outdoorsman [Saturdays at 11:30 a.m.]
This is the series for the go-anywhere hunter with the vehicle that can take them from the mountains to the marshes and all points in-between.
