Outdoor Life to Cowboy Up

Outdoor Life Network will rope in a reality series centering on the world of rodeo next year.

The service has ordered 13 episodes of Cowboy 101
, which will debut in January.

Taping will take place at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas, home to 2,000 students and where college rodeo began. The National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association was also formed there.

"Cowboy 101
will provide a unique look into the world of rodeo," OLN president and CEO Roger Williams said in a prepared statement. "This 13-part reality series will follow the efforts of tomorrow’s rodeo stars as they begin the pursuit of their dream and will bring to life the world of the rodeo through the eyes of bull riders, bulldoggers, bronc riders and team ropers."
