Hollywood -- Casting its first line into the high-definition waters, Outdoor Life Network will bow an HD documentary series this spring revolving around Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong.
The 13-part series, debuting April 29, will chronicle Armstrong and the U.S. Postal Service Pro Cycling Team from the beginning of training for the 2004 tour through July and the end of the tour, OLN president and CEO Roger Williams said.
He added that the network is talking with In Demand about airing the series on its HD-event channels.
Williams said OLN is looking at several other shows to potentially offer on an HD basis. "High-definition programming will continue to become more prevalent, and we look forward to exploring more opportunities," he added.
