OVAB Names Norris First President

Longtime cable executive Kim Norris was tapped by the Out-of-Home Video Advertising Bureau to become the media association’s first president.

Before joining OVAB, Norris was a division vice president with Comcast Spotlight, where she built and ran Comcast's advertising business in the Northeast television markets, including New York and Boston.

Prior to Comcast, she spent 20 years with Cablevision Systems, most recently as senior VP of advertising sales.

“We are excited to have Kim stepping into this leadership role,” said Mike DiFranza, president and general manager of Captivate Network and chairman of the board of OVAB. “Her experience with cable advertising in its emerging years and business expertise in the advertising industry will be a substantial asset as OVAB works to demonstrate the effectiveness of out-of-home advertising and to educate the advertising community on the medium.”

OVAB was founded in 2006 by representatives from 10 companies with the goal of fostering adoption of out-of-home video networks within the advertising industry at-large.
